MSN and all that
A little behind! Have managed to load MSN messenger after being rescued by Donna from a MSN Live takeover. Have loaded some contacts and entered into a conversation with Erilyn plus a game of paper scissors - which she won! Can see this could be very engaging and time consuming on a work computer. However maybe as we all get onboard with this we will get into using the library MSN's to talk between sites more. For some reason I cannot add a title when I post - very strange.
Have also now added Skype and I like this! Found at least one friend so far and had a chat with Angela - but simply cannot get the status logo on my blog after numerous trys so I give up and will talk to Donna soon.

Playing

Enjoyed playing with this realise there are lots of cool things that are out there and it is neat to see what some people have managed to put together. In "generator" I had trouble saving something I created - will need to talk to colleagues who have managed this.

Flickr

Have created an account in Flickr - fairly straight forward but have to admit I pinched existing photos rather than taking some new ones. But will get on to that! Put an RSS feed from my Netvibes page to my Fickr photos - Look forward to having some time to play with photos and see what I can do with them.

Well I have had a play and created a netvibes site - added some RSS feeds and a library blog - "Tame the web : libraries and technology" thought about Hollywood.Bitchslap! but was sooo trashy - think that is maybe what doesnt appeal to me about lots of the stuff that is out there seems to have a real slant to young people and I guess that is to be expected and it is good to get a feel for the environment our students and kids are working and socialising in.

Also added Doreen & Jo's blogs to my netvibes site - so will be checking on progress girls! and some news feeds - Quite cool to get the updates changed the weather to Palmerston North because they dont have Wanganui.

Found it useful to do some of this earlier in the week and then come back to it.
Quite challenging this week largely because dont know what to expect or how it should work. Can see that if I can get the gist of netvibes it is a great help to have everything in one place.

My first post

Well got to here! What next........ I have added a picture I think that is very brave. Might be all an old girl can cope with in one hit. Looking forward to doing more.
